Hello! My name is Joseph “Joey” Diaz, and I have the honor of serving as the pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church. I grew up in Arizona, where I was blessed to attend Valley Baptist Church. At the age of 18, I surrendered to preach and committed my life to God’s calling to become a pastor.
I attended Hyles-Anderson College, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in pastoral theology. After graduation, my wife and I moved to Arizona, where I had the privilege of serving as an assistant pastor for five years. God has since blessed us with four precious children.
In July 2023, our family stepped out in faith and moved to California to prepare for the launch of Cornerstone Baptist Church in the Anaheim and Fullerton area. We truly love the people of Southern California! Our mission is simple: to make true disciples of Christ by loving Him and loving one another. At Cornerstone, we seek to exalt Christ, edify the saints, and evangelize the lost. We are a church family that does life together, and we would be honored to have you join us on this journey!

Prince Weah Weah
Youth Pastor
Prince was born in West Africa and raised in the Boston area. As a young man, he was reached through the bus ministry of a local Baptist church, where he trusted Christ as his Savior. During his high school years, he surrendered his life to serve the Lord in ministry.
Prince later graduated from Hyles-Anderson College with a degree in missions and a minor in education. Following graduation, he spent four years teaching at a Christian school in Florida. He then moved to Southern California to serve alongside Pastor Joey Diaz and help establish Cornerstone Baptist Church.
As the youth pastor, Prince has a heart for reaching the next generation and desires to make a lasting impact by helping young people know Christ, grow in their faith, and live boldly for Him.
Abel & Suly Ramirez
Spanish Pastor
Abel was born and raised in the Dominican Republic. At the age of nine, he was reached through the Vacation Bible School ministry of a local Baptist church and soon began attending faithfully. During a youth conference in 2009, while still in high school, he trusted Christ as his Savior.
Abel graduated from Hyles-Anderson College, where he prepared for full-time ministry. After college, he and his wife moved to Arizona, where he faithfully served as an assistant pastor for six years. God has blessed them with three wonderful children.
In the summer of 2025, Abel answered God’s call to lead the Spanish ministry of Cornerstone Baptist Church. He and his family have a heart to reach Spanish-speaking families with the gospel and help them grow in Christ.
AJ & Lenette Carigma
Song Leader / Young Adult Pastor
AJ grew up both in the Philippines and California. He trusted Christ as his Savior at the age of eight and surrendered his life to full-time ministry at sixteen.
AJ is a graduate of West Coast Baptist College. He earned a bachelor’s degree in religious education and an emphasis in evangelism. In November 2024, he joined the ministry team at Cornerstone Baptist Church, where he serves as the song leader and young adults pastor. He has a heart for Christ-honoring worship and a passion for discipling young adults, helping them grow in their walk with Christ and live out their faith boldly.
